Bikini Ready Energy Gummies
"New Bikini Ready Energy Gummies are a great tasting vitamin B-12
supplement with caffeine that acts as an energy booster. Along with a
healthy diet and exercise program, this scientifically advanced formula
helps boost your metabolism. Bikini Ready Energy Gummies are a
guilt-free pick me up.
Bikini Ready Energy Gummies will help you become a healthier, lighter you." - Quoted from Bikini Ready Energy Gummies Site
I am going to disect the above statement that I copied and pasted from the Bikini Ready website.
First of all, it says "great tasting". Well, I'm going to go with a big fat NO on that one. I do not think it is worthy of the word great.
The two gummies in my sample packet were red and purple.
The red one wasn't horrible but it definitely wasn't "great" as they say. As for the purple one, can you say YUCK? If you can, good job cause that's what it was! I would have spit it out but I wanted to test how the product actually worked.
Now along with any dietary supplement you should have a "healthy diet and exercise program". Ok let's be honest, we should have that regardless of taking a supplement. Am I right or am I right?
As for boosting my metabolism, I don't believe it truly had an effect. Now maybe it would be different in the long term but I only had two gummies to sample. Ergo I cannot say, honestly, whether that is fact or not.
I can, however, attest to these gummies being an energy booster. I did get a good jolt to my system that kicked me up a notch. There wasn't much of a crash later either. Which is always something I hate with energy boosters, such as energy drinks and whatnot. Though these were vitamin B-12 gummies with caffeine. So it makes sense that it wouldn't have the same reaction as energy drink type boosters.
On another note, I did get an instant headache when I first ate them. BUT I am a bit sensitive to high amounts of caffeine. If you cannot handle the caffeine I would not suggest trying these out.
Other than that, if you can get past the taste, then have at it and give 'em a try. If you like them and it works for you then awesome.
Keep on keepin' on!

I Can Hear The Bells!
On Saturday, April 12th, one of my dearest friends, Kelly, got married!
This was long anticipated. I couldn't believe the day had finally arrived. And now it's over and she is a wife. It's a bit unreal to me.
The ceremony was wonderful, their vows were both sincere and hilarious, her dress was gorgeous(She wore her mother's wedding dress) and her hair was beautiful golden locks curled perfectly. Oh and the groom was pretty snazzy too!
I could not be more happy for her and her new hubby!
Here are some photos I took from the wonderful day. (Sorry they're not the best quality. I took them from my phone.)

Battle of the Beltway Recap
Hey all!
I know it's been too long. Lately I've been a bit preoccupied. Trust me I'll get to the reason why soon enough. For now I'm going to get you caught up on some other news.
A couple weeks ago I went to see the Battle of the Beltway B-ball game with my best friend Jessica. We had a blast! It was so much fun watching football players play a different sport. You could tell they were enjoying themselves and just being free spirited about it. Well most of them anyway. :-P
There were no assigned seats so Jess and I found a spot we thought looked good. Turns out we were sitting right behind the Ravens team. Redskins were on the sidelines to the left of us. Oops!
During halftime we totally switched sides. It was nice cause then we were always on the side the Redskins were scoring on. I thought it worked out fairly well.
The only thing that we were disappointed about was that we didn't get any of the free stuff the players were throwing to the crowd.
We didn't really want the Ravens stuff but I would have taken it anyway. A lot of the players were signing mini footballs and launching them into the stands. It was awesome!
Of course neither Jess nor myself got anything but the experience was cool. By the time we moved over to the other side all the players had stopped throwing merchandise. Stink! So we didn't even have a chance to gain some Redskins stuff. (Which would have been the highlight of like everything for me!) Oh well! Next year I'll know better.
On to the game. It was actually pretty good. I wasn't sure if it would be like a complete goofy mess or if they'd be like all stars on the court too. I'd say they fell somewhere in the middle. There were some pretty hilarious moments. Not to mention the announcers made it fun by throwing out some football terminology during fouls and whatnot. (ie. "Well that was a delay of game." "Roughing the passer on that one".) I enjoyed it for sure!
The entire time the score was close. Going back and forth for the lead. It got really intense and the most exciting in the last three minutes. The teams were neck and neck at that point. Jess and I were on the edge of our seats yell and cheering on the Redskins! They kept taking the ball to each basket rebounding and back down the court again. This happened a few times. Finally, the clock ran out leaving the game tied. (Whaaaat!!!)
For a bit we weren't sure if they were going to end in a tie, since it was just for charity, or go in to overtime. We hoped and prayed (fairly quickly) for it to continue into overtime. A few moments passed and they announced we'd have a 2 minute overtime.
The next 2 minute or the most epic and loud minutes of the game. The ball was just flying back and forth down the court. Shooting for baskets, getting the rebound, shooting again, then down to the other end of the court for the same thing.
With seconds left on the clock and the crowd going crazy (Mainly me and Jess :-P) the Ravens had the ball. They took it down the court for a shot. Around the rim it went. Ravens got the rebound. Missed again. And in the last moments they got the rebound and finally sunk the ball for the lead and the win!
I was sad to see me Redskins lose but was more then ok in the end because it was such an amazing, fun, and exciting game. And might I add, well played! (For football players) ;-)
I will no doubt be going back and making it a yearly thing. As long as they continue to have it of course.
This is an event I would HIGHLY suggest going to, no matter who you cheer for.
Over all a great experience. There should definitely be more things like this. Keeps the fans entertained and lively.

Hosted by: Ryan Kerrigan & Torrey Smith |
The day I've been waiting for is finally here. I get to cheer on my Washington Redskins at the Battle of the Beltway charity basketball game against the Baltimore Ravens. I am beyond excited!!! If ya couldn't tell. :-P
I'll be off work at 1pm, possibly signing the lease to rent my house for another year at 2pm, and then I'm off to the game at 3pm with my bestie! Should be for one entertaining day.
Oh and I'm doing ALL this on 40minutes of sleep! Yes, I'm aware I'm crazy. This is nothing new. Just pray I don't have any crash moments. At least not till after the game anyway.
GO REDSKINS GO!!!

Star Crossed: Episode 5 Review
And we are back, yet again, with another review on Star Crossed!
Episode 5 was...interesting! We have a few developments. Some in the romance department and also more info on the Atrian culture. There was both some mystery and drama...of course.
Basically teenagers will be teenagers no matter where they are from. :-P
So without further adieu, enjoy the review! (I apologize for the corny rhyming. lol)

Star Crossed: Episode 4 Review
Take 4! We are almost all caught up on Star Crossed. Then we will posting reviews weekly in "real time". This episode is probably my favorite so far. It was light, humorous, unifying, with of course some drama thrown about.
We are trying to give more of our opinion regarding the episodes as opposed to detailed timelines of what happens. Basically we are assuming you all will have watched the episode beforehand.
Ok so without further or adieu here is the review. We have a brief special appearance in the beginning. Hope you like it!
Comments and Thoughts are welcome below.

Star Crossed: Episode 3 Review
Here we go. Jess and I are back again for another review of Star Crossed.
Episode 3 was a bit different. It seemed a little darker. Of course I still loved it. Roman is driving me crazy though. He is all over the place. Poor Emery! But of course Grayson is there to keep her together. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out. Enjoy the review.

Redskins back in action!
I am over the moon right now! In 9 days I will be in full fan mode watching the Washington Redskins play some b-ball.
Yes, you did read that correctly. I will be cheering on my Skins on March 29th, 2014 in the Comcast Center at UMD. They will be taking on the Ravens. Yup, another football team playing basketball. Weird I know. It's going to be awesome though.
They are calling it The Battle of the Beltway.
Ryan Kerrigan, Redskins linebacker (91), and Torrey Smith, Ravens wide receiver (82), are "hosting" this battle between the teams.
This event will support two great causes.
This is a great way to have some fun and make difference too!
I've already got my tickets. Go get yours! Battle of the Beltway Tickets

Snow snow and oh...more snow!
This has been one of the most ridiculous winters I've ever had. I've lost count at how many snowfalls we've had in the DC, MD area. Usually if we get a good snow it's maybe one time and then done. Sometimes there are dustings or rain freezes over night.
This has to be the coldest and quite possibly the warmest winter I can remember.
I am baffled at how it's gotten up to like 60° and sunny then that very next day it hits freezing temps! This has happened almost all winter.
I must say, I do love a good beautiful snowfall but this back and forth weather is killing my love for the fluffy white goodness!
However, it is pretty cool from this view:
I'm trying really hard not to hate it because it's so pretty. But it's a lot of snow and that can cause problems!
I have plans and this much snow could put a huge damper on things. I do not want to be stuck at home doing nothing after I get off work. That seems so lame! :-( Here's praying they clear the roads by 2pm when I get off.
On another note I got to stay at the hotel at Congressional last night. That way I could be here to open the Fitness Center without having to battle the snow/roads. It was a rather nice evening.
Oh and here's the Fitness Center...
there are so many people here I just don't know what to do with myself! (Sarcasm)
Now I will end my rant.
Later Skaters!

Star Crossed: Episode 1 Review
Ok so my friend, Jess, and I have started to watch this new show called Star Crossed. Basically it's a modern day Romeo & Juliet with an Alien spin.
Jess and I are trying something new and doing weekly reviews on it together. It's my first time doing video blogs so bare with me. I definitely need some time to warm up to the "spotlight". :-P
Check it out below and let me know what ya think!

Let's try this again...
Yeah, so I prophesied this blog with the fact that I sucked at blogging. Sooo...we're going to try this again.
I really just did not feel like I had ANYTHING to blog about before. Now that I have a new job and some more interesting things(hopefully) going on maybe I can get this going and keep up with it more.
Well, like I said, I have a new job! :-D I absolutely love it. I am the Fitness Attendant at the Fitness Center at Congressional Country Club. Only the top Country Club in the Country, no biggie.
It is a wonderful place. People are so welcoming and always helpful. When I started back in September I was just working the desk at the Fitness Center. I learned everything fairly quickly.
My boss had actually just started working at Congressional as well. She moved from California to be the Director of the Fitness Center.
She is an amazing boss. I love how encouraging and confident she is in herself and employees. She has been giving me lots of responsibility and challenges.
Through her I've connected with the Youth Events department.
I help out with the different events they have here for the kids. We've done lots of different things from laser tag, to movie nights, to cookie decorating, to mother/daughter brunch, and so much more. It has been a wonderful time learning the ropes at the Club.
More recently we had a New Year New You event for the Fitness Center and I was tasked with planning and organizing a kids program for it. We had the event on Sunday, Jan. 26th. It was a HUGE success. The Fitness Center had many members come out to partake in the different classes and consults with trainers. We also had our Chef do a cooking demo and there were some superfood tastings as well.
Also, another huge thing is my friend from high school, Alex, started making these power bars called Ever Bars a couple years back. My boss gave us some superfood samples for Christmas and one of them was hemp seeds. I already knew all about them because that's the main ingredient in my friends Ever Bars. Long story short I mentioned the bars to my boss, brought her a sample, got my friend and interview, and he came out to the event to do a booth there. Now we are starting to sell the bars at the Fitness Center. It is so awesome! I'm incredibly happy my boss was able and willing to make this happen for Alex. hopefully this will help his business to really take off. Check it out here: Ever Bar Facebook Page
Oh and the kids part of the event was highly praised as well. I still have members/parents telling me how awesome it was and that we should have more kids classes and events.
Soon after all that, my boss tasked me with heading up several other Kids Fitness events. She asked me to come up with four ideas to spread out over the year. So I googled, brainstormed, and googled some more.
I was able to find great inspiration online and in magazines. Once I had my basic ideas down I presented them to my boss. She was excited about all of them. Especially about one in particular event that will be happening in September. I don't want to unveil it just yet. You'll just have to be patient and wait. But it's GOOD!
I will tell you that for March and April I'm setting up a girls Zumba & Yoga night and A Race for Health(obstacle course with trivia). Both which should be a lot of fun. I'll let ya know how they go.
Ta ta for now!
